KAM / Reinforcement / adhesin mortar for thermal insulation panels
- For gluing and reinforcing stone wool and polystyrene thermal insulation panels
- Can be used for filling aerated concrete and silicate blocks
- Cement based
- Reinforced with polypropylene fibre
- With adhesion and flexibility improving additives
- Relatively longer processing time
- Water vapor permeable
- Water and frost resistant
- White colour
Processing
Surface preparation
• The base must be dry and firm, all cracks and voids must be filled
• Clean the surface from loose and/or separable layers
• Particularly dense and/or smooth surfaces should be treated with an abrasive material
• Highly absorbent surfaces must be primed with SAKRET BG primer or SAKRET UG primer (diluted 1:3)
Reinforcement of thermal insulation panels
• Apply SAKRET KAM on the heat insulation panel in an even layer (up to 5mm), pull it out with a toothed trowel, embed the alkali-resistant reinforcing mesh in the mass and level it with the flat trowel so that the reinforcing mesh is completely covered with SAKRET KAM
• If the thermal insulation board is made of mineral wool, then first rub SAKRET KAM on the surface of the board
Adhesion of heat insulation panels
• If the wall is flat (unevenness <10mm/m), then apply SAKRET KAM with a toothed spatula (tooth size - 10mm) on the entire surface of the thermal insulation panel and stick it to the base
• If the wall is uneven, then apply SAKRET KAM on the edges of the thermal insulation panels (~5cm wide and 2cm high) and put 6 balls of material on the surface of the panels, then stick to the wall
• If the thermal insulation panel is made of mineral wool, then first rub SAKRET KAM on the surface of the panel
